Today was a special day in many ways. After we got up at 6 o'clock in the morning, we took the first gondola to the glacier. This gondola, which only runs twice a day, is also for the workers and supplies.

Different than we thought, we weren't allowed to go on the glacier today. Unfortunately, our experiment will be transported on the glacier tomorrow morning, which is why we got the day off. Fortunately, there was a thunderstorm on the Klein-Matterhorn in the early afternoon, so that all teams had to return to the valley at 4 o'clock p.m. at the...

The trip to Zermatt began yesterday at 5 o'clock in the morning. In addition to the extraordinarily beautiful landscape we also enjoyed a train-car-ride through a 17 km long tunnel. The Field Campaign is getting closer. On June 19th we drive from Aachen to Zermatt, which is only 3 weeks left.

On the 7th of May, we had our readiness review. For the Readiness Review Space Technology Advisor Oliver Kirchhoff from the Swiss Space Center came all the way to Aachen.

During the Readiness Review we got great advice for the final weeks until the Field Campaing in June and discussed our design, progress and the road ahead.

In January we traveled to the CDR (Critical Design Review) at CERN in Geneva!

At the CDR, we got the chance to present our design, calculations, the challenges that we are currently facing and a lot more to experts from the Swiss Space Center and the other teams. After our presentation we gained a lot of invaluable feedback...

iBOSS (Intelligent Building Blocks for On-orbit Satellite Servicing) is a project funded by the DLR. Over the course of the iBOSS project standardized building blocks are developed, that altogether form a maintainable modular spacecraft - Lego in space!

The AMPEX team has been invited to visit the European Space Research and Technology Center (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, Netherlands. Excited to see, what the professionals were currently working on and what they would show to us, we started our journey to the scientific research facility in the early morning. As we cooperate with our fellow project...
