ESAs vision for living on the moon

18.11.2018

The vision of a permanent lunar settlement is one of the main driving factors behind our project.

As Jan Wörner put it: "To venture into the unknown is in our genes, curiosity has always been a very strong driver for humankind." But establishing a permanent moon base is not only interesting for a purely scientific purpose: First of all, research done on the moon might improve life on earth. For some impressions on what that might look light visit NASAs Home & City website. Aside from that, a permanent lunar habitat would help with planetary defence and exploiting lunar resources.
